Noticed you've been posting a lot about what's happening in Egypt. Just wonder if you're Egyptian or from the Middle East?
Not a shred. I’m mostly Viking (Dane and Norwegian) with some Hawaiian thrown in. I’ve been to Cairo once but no, I’m not Egyptian or Middle Eastern.
Apart from being a history and political nerd, as an American, I have genuine sympathy for the Egyptian people because basically they are tired of living under a dictatorship and all they want is the chance to govern themselves in a fair and democratic fashion.
Maybe many of my fellow Americans don’t get that because they take their freedoms for granted but this is what our founding fathers wanted and what they fought and died for. So, yeah… I’m rooting for the Egyptian people, big time.
